Steps to reproduce:

Automatic update to Thunderbird 6.0
Win7(64) Home Premimum
Add ons: ENIGMAIL;Lightning


Actual results:

1. unable to create new account properly: credentials refused
2. new account unable to create sent message folder
3. HTML formatting not wrapping text to current window size

I think i have a valid copy of the T-Bird 5.0 install; will try to back-level the T-Bird (This can be risky business )

Did you try starting Thunderbird in -safe-mode (http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe-Mode) ?
