Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:6.0) Gecko/20110820 Firefox/6.0 SeaMonkey/2.3.1
Build ID: 20110820145925
Steps to reproduce:
Typical browsing online using SeaMonkey, I noticed the address bar would no longer auto-complete previously visited sites -- the browser history was now almost empty. (my settings are set to "Remember visited pages")
Actual results:
SeaMonkey had self-deleted the browser history. When I opened the browser history it only listed the pages I had visited in during the past seven minutes, and then while watching the screen all those entries vanished from the history list to leave an empty history.
Expected results:
SeaMonkey should have stored my browsing history as usual.

Can you try in "Safe Mode" and see if you get the same behavior

Tried "Safe Mode" -- unfortunately SeaMonkey still self-deletes the browser history.
Entries in the browser history are deleted "live", and when History is reopened, and when History is resorted/regrouped ("Sort by"/"Grouped by"), and when you switch between search/bookmarks/history/address book in the 'Sidebar'.

Even on XP I'm not able to reproduce, can you please try a new profile entirely?

With a FIRST new profile -- history remains intact after more than seven hours.
Used a SECOND new profile to import original bookmarks.html file -- it gave an error "Warning: unresponsive script"
---> Script: chrome://communiactor/content/bookmarks/browser-places.js:810
The script was stopped.
Soon after this SeaMonkey began self-deleting history from the SECOND new profile.
With a THIRD new profile bookmarks.html was imported again -- it gave the same error "Warning: unresponsive script".
This time the script was continued, but again after SeaMonkey began self-deleting history from this THIRD new profile.
So the old bookmarks.html file must be part/all of the problem.
How do I import an uncorrupted version of my old bookmarks.html file?
And how do I import my old passwords to the new profile?
Looks like places expiration issue, check about:config, what is set there for places.history.expiration.max_pages ?
