This change got deployed through OPSI to the ref machine but we didn't take a snapshot of it.
http://hg.mozilla.org/build/opsi-package-sources/rev/786e771a6a3d

Any subsequent imaging of a win32 leaves us in a weird state in which OPSI believes that the reimaged machine has the latest NSC.ini file when it really does not (this is because OPSI bases any new machine off the ref's state).

See bug 677888 for more details.
I added an attachment to bug 677888 which will make it unnecessary to take the snapshot.

Could you please take a snapshot after all?
I would like to get a hold of whatever win32 slave we clone after taking this snapshot.

I had two problems with the imaged w32 slaves in bug 682408:
1) NSC.ini was an older version
2) buildbot version was old

For #1 I have determined that the file was last modified in June 15th and therefore the 0527 win32-ixref image should not be containing it.

I am surprised that the older version of buildbot was on the cloned machines but that's how they came to me. I haven't figured out why the 0.7 version was there as we moved long ago to buildbot-0.8.

Thanks in advance.

In the process of taking the image now. It will be named w32-ix-ref-20110830.

I reimaged w32-ix-slave34 with the new snapshot, and when the machine booted, it said it had to check C: and then proceeded to spit out a lot of errors, reboot, and then go to a blank screen.

To try to narrow down the issue (the image, the pxe server, etc), I'd like to try to image a machine in mtv1. Do we have a w32 box there I can use?
Through IRC I told arr to use mw32-ix-slave20.
mw32-ix-slave20 has come back up without issue.
The next step is to test on a known good working machine in scl1. Would it be possible to pull a working machine from service for a reimage?
I have set w32-ix-slave25 apart for this.
I will give a clear flag in the morning when the job running is done.
