With the proliferation of project branches, looking in /firefox/nightly for a particular nightly by date has gotten rather difficult. Until we get bug 487036 live, a nice workaround might be to make a directory per-branch under nightly/ (like nightly/{mozilla-central,fx-team} etc), and put symlinks in there to the nightly dirs for each build, so like:
nightly/mozilla-central/2011-07-31-03-08-21 -> nightly/2011-07-31-03-08-21-mozilla-central/

I don't know how much effort this is or if it's feasible, but it'd be useful.
