This is the tracking bug to organize a blog project similar to Bug 680148. We'll have both design and implementation needs, but this should not involve a new instance of wordpress. Rather this should be much more minor like the solution for Gary's blog.

Carmen, can you share more info here about your timing on this? Seems like we'll need to pull in some development resources soon.
Sure, thanks for showing me where this info would go. :)

If we could get this launched (the blog part, not the landing page part) by Oct. 24 - we could incorporate the new email newsletter flow. Which would be this: instead of writing and reading the whole article within the email itself, the email would include teaser text and link off to the blog. The blog, then, in turn, serves as a better funnel page, with download buttons, social links, affiliates info, promos for other Firefox campaigns, and related content - all in one place.

My second choice, if we can't launch by Oct. 24 would be by the 27th, so we can use it for our Halloween message - "Don't be Scared, Be Secure."

We've tried to keep the blog design very templated, so I'm hoping that there's not a lot of WebDev work to wade through.

Can someone share with me if either of these dates is possible? Or give me a due date to put in my project plan?

PS: The design should be completed today. One last review, and then pow! ready to go.
Laura, can you advise as to which release this could/should go in (and categorize accordingly)?

Thanks!

Carmen, I apologize for not checking back here and responding to this original request and requirement. When the design phase took longer than anticipated I should have updated with a more reasonable timeframe and launch plan here.

Yep, so sorry my friend. This was in my court and I should have kept a closer eye on things.

POW! was right, followed by other hyperbole :-)
