How to reproduce:
1. Type news://news.mozilla.org in browser locator field and press enter
Please note:
 -url will be changed to news://news.mozilla.org:119.
 -In console will be printed "Document news://penguin:119/ loaded successfully".
And nothing more. Netscape 4.x open messenger window in such situations

win98 mozilla build 2001030505, this opens messenger.
Worksforme, using build 2001031204 on Windows 2000.  Alexei, is this working for
you if you try a daily build on Solaris?

I can reproduce this bug with Mozilla 1.6 on Windows 2000.  Just click on this link:

news://news.stardock.com/

And you'll see the problem.  news.stardock.com is a news server that has its
own, unique newsgroups.
