Created attachment 557790 [details] Paramètres de base de l.doc User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:6.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0 Build ID: 20110811165603 Steps to reproduce: Firefox updated itself (security update from 30/08/2011) Actual results: impossible to navigate on any website, I had to restore to the previous version. Navigation OK with another browser, so the problem is linked to the security update. This happened 3 times. I checked out automatic update in the Firefox options to prevent this but the update loads anyway each time I restart Firefox. Expected results: 1. An update should not block all navigation 2. There should be a way to go back to an earlier version without having to restore my computer 3. There should be a way to prevent an unwanted update, even a security one

(In reply to Matthias Versen (Matti) from comment #1) > Please attach screenshots as images and not as microsoft doc files. > Please try http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode I did try the safe mode but to no effect. Navigation still KO with 6.0.1. Bug appeared tonight again after Firefox updated itself although the advanced option "automatic updates' is checked out. I had to reinstall the 6.0 version from the firefox setup 6.0 exe. What other information would be of use for you ? The .doc is the text file of the Firefox Repair Info which I thought might be of use.
SOLVED. Now on 6.0.2 and no obvious navigation problems. The bug came from a failed uninstall of ZA firewall. Sorry for the trouble. SOLUTION: uninstall a faulty firewall.
