Steps to reproduce:

Concerning german localized Firefox 6.x and Firefox 7beta on the Mac platform:

Choose Firefox -> Preferences -> Privacy


Actual results:

The right-handed, right-aligned buttons on the privacy preference pane are cropped.


Expected results:

The right-handed, right-aligned buttons on the privacy preference pane should not be cropped. To avoid that, they should be positioned some pixels more to the left.

Confirmed. The problem started in FF 5 when the string "Bei Eingabe in die Adressleiste" was added at the bottom of the pane, pushing the rest of the text and the buttons above to the right beyond the window border. FF 7 has wider dropdown menus which add to the problem. When you shorten the string (which is too wordy anyway) to e.g. "In der Adressleiste", the problem is easily resolved. A better way to fix this, however, would be to change the Preferences window width dynamically if necessary so that this problem doesn't occur again in the future.

Being there, please have also a look at the german localization of the Navigation Toolbar's customization panel (rightclick Navigation Toolbar -> Customize...) (Navigations-Symbolleiste -> Anpassen...)

The button [Standard wiederherstellen] at the bottom right is also cropped and should be therefore positioned some pixels more to the left.

Does this have to be a separate bug, or could you please fix this little glitch either in the context of this bug above?

Please file a new bug for that, unfortunately repositioning is not possible for localizers. We were lucky to be able to shorten the text in this case. It might not work for the customization panel.
