Thunderbird 7.0a2, 08-15-2011 In prior versions of Thunderbird with lightning installed, I would get a HTML version preview of the calendar (.ics) in the message preview pane. Using Tbird version above and installed version of lightning is 1.1a1pre (according to lightning updater, I'm using the 08-18-2011 build). Lightning is not giving an option to "add to calendar", etc. (not recognizing as calendar item?) The text/plain text and the text/HTML text is not showing up in the preview pane. Here is the MIME info from the text attachment: ----------8<--------------- --_000_389A8EEB2607964EAE75333735D6160B1BF1E13AE10MAIL4Enpoint_ Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hello Mike, <etc.> ----------8<--------------- Here is the MIME info from the HTML attachment: ----------8<--------------- --_000_389A8EEB2607964EAE75333735D6160B1BF1E13AE10MAIL4Enpoint_ Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html> <head> <meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Type" content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-= 1"> <meta name=3D"Generator" content=3D"Microsoft Exchange Server"> <!-- converted from rtf --> <style><!-- .EmailQuote { margin-left: 1pt; padding-left: 4pt; border-left:= #800000 2px solid; } --></style> </head> <body> <font face=3D"Calibri" size=3D"2"><span style=3D"font-size:11pt;"> <div>Hello Mike,</div> <etc.> ----------8<--------------- Here is the MIME info from the ics attachment: ----------8<--------------- --_000_389A8EEB2607964EAE75333735D6160B1BF1E13AE10MAIL4Enpoint_ Content-Type: text/calendar; charset="utf-8"; method=REQUEST Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 QkVHSU46VkNBTEVOREFSDQpNRVRIT0Q6UkVRVUVTVA0KUFJPRElEOk1pY3Jvc29mdCBFeGNoYW5n ZSBTZXJ2ZXIgMjAxMA0KVkVSU0lPTjoyLjANCkJFR0lOOlZUSU1FWk9ORQ0KVFpJRDpQYWNpZmlj etc. ----------8<--------------- No filename for the attachment is given in the email, luckily Tbird at least lets me select the auto-created file name of "part 1.1.3", just no .ics extension is added for correct mapping to my calendar client (I use MeetingMaker). This exact email works correctly in Tbird 3.1.9 with Lightning 1.0b3pre. I'm not sure if this is a Tbird/earlybird error or addon (couldn't seee where to submit a bug for lightning). Thanks.

Thunderbird 7 with 1.1a1pre? I think you may be using the wrong versions. Please see the calendar versions page to see what versions are compatible: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Calendar/Calendar_Versions Also, do you get any error console messages?

This is the version of lightning that was in the email that went out from Jeff Grossman with latest nightly builds for Aurora (I need to check that for new nightlies, updater was installed after I installed that nightly, maybe updater doesn't work off of those). I get the following console message: Error: Components.classes['@mozilla.org/calendar/ics-service;1'] is undefined Source File: resource://calendar/modules/calUtils.jsm -> file:///C:/Users/<snip>/AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/<snip>/extensions/%7Be2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103%7D/calendar-js/calUtils.js Line: 163 I'll download and install latest nightly and see if it goes away. Tnx.

Updating both earlybird and lightning fixed this issue (has new one though). Thanks.
