All Google calendar events lost after upgrading to Thunderbird 6. Error: Error parsing XML stream SyntaxError: invalid property id

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:6.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0.1
Build ID: 20110830092941
Steps to reproduce:
Thunderbird upgraded itself to version 6, and all [Google] calendar events disappeared from the Today Pane and the Calendar tab. But they actually still exist in my Google calendar.
I have then created a new event in the calendar, which behaves and displays normally. This is now the only event shown. The old ones are still missing.
Moreover, when I click on the Today header in the Today Pane in order to collapse it, and then click once again to expand it - then an ongoing multi-day event is suddenly shown under both Today, Tomorrow, and Soon. (But it's still not shown on the Calendar tab.)
When I then click on the Soon header twice to collapse it and expand it, then the multi-day event disappears from the Soon part, but is still shown under Today and Tomorrow. (This last behaviour is inconsistent.) But when Today or Tomorrow is collapsed/expanded, it doesn't disappear.
When the calendar is automatically refreshed, the multi-day event disappears from the Today Pane, but can be shown again by collapsing/expanding as described above.
I see no logical explanation to this, and I can't find any bug reports or discussions about it either. And the problem is there directly when starting Thunderbird, it doesn't need a longer period of running time like other bugs with disappearing calendar events.
How to investigate this?
Isn't Provider for Google Calendar 0.8 compatible with Thunderbird 6 and Lightning 1.0b5?

It should be compatible. Please check:
* The addons manager if the addons are all correctly enabled and marked compatible
* The error console to see if there are any related messages. Possibly you need to set calendar.debug.log and calendar.debug.log.verbose to true in the advanced config editor (about:config, options/advanced/general/config editor)
In the add-ons manager it seems ok.
But the error console shows a lot (10) of these error message sequences:
Error: Error parsing XML stream
SyntaxError: invalid property id
Error getting items:
SyntaxError: invalid property id
Not much help there! What to do next?

Severity: normal → major
I updated to Thunderbird 7 and Lightning 1.0b7,
but no change as far as I can see...
Version: Lightning 1.0b5 → Lightning 1.0b7
