User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:6.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0.2
Build ID: 20110902133214

Steps to reproduce:

tried to download lightning extension for Linux Thunderbird from a windows Firefox

Actual results:

I can not select a Linux (or Mac) versions of addons

Expected results:

upon navigating to the versions information page (the page that lists previous versions) I should also be able to select a different operating system. -this is extremely frustrating the web site is trying to outsmart me and fails miserably. I've browsed to a page that has given me a warning about using older versions, if I'm prepared to accept that warning and continue, why can I not download the extension for a different OS?
Confirmed. I've just been trying to do this, and I can't find a way to do it anywhere.

Even trying to download https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/downloads/file/127598/lightning-1.0b5-tb+sm-linux.xpi with wget on my mac doesn't work.

what is the MS Windows URL ... I'm using GNU/Linux ATM, and won't be able to reboot for a few days

@Mark, you used the pathname for the MacOSX version of the file the GNU/Linux URL is

https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/downloads/file/127600/lightning-1.0b5-tb+sm-linux.xpi

what I want to see is the ability to select which OS I want to download for on the version history page: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/lightning/versions/ at the moment I can only see download links for the OS I'm connected with (i.e. I'm using GNU/Linux and so the version history page only shows GNU/Linux links but not MacOSX or MS Windows links).

here's what wget gives for GNU/Linux download

Not a problem to download once you know the link URL. How do you get the link URL for a different OS than the one you are using?

I have just copied and pasted the MacOSX URL into the address bar of my GNU/Linux Firefox browser and consequently downloaded the MacOSX lightning-1.0b5-tb+sm-mac.xpi

What I want is the version histories page to expose URLS for other OSes other than the one I'm connected with
