Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:6.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0.2 Build ID: 20110902133214 Steps to reproduce: To run Firefox on another display (e.g a vnc session for working from home) I have to kill Firfox on the console screen first. This is very painful. I would like to open another firefox window on vnc without affecting the "console firefox".

Can't you just use the -no-remote flag? http://www.callum-macdonald.com/about/faq/multiple-firefox-instances/

Both Firefoxes should use the default profile, of course.
