summary sez it all. in addition [heh], it'd be cool if this could be at the top
of the Browser product component listing --unless the sorting there is strictly
alphabetical...
actually, what really matters is that this component remains as the default one
for new browser bugs. if feasible, i'd like to get this implement either at the
same time as or even slightly before bug 68621.

bugzilla doesn't really have a concept of default, the only thing you can do is
put an item alphabetically before most other items, hence the [Browser] part. 
Although default could be implemented in bugzilla <option selected> iirc.  
Personally i like the idea of just General or Miscellaneous, but i'm not sure
that we should risk bugs getting randomly strewn because some newbies don't find
the general component...
