Steps to reproduce:

After a Flash bug froze the browser, I used Task Manager to shut down Firefox and Flash Player (from the Applications tab instead of Processes, which to my surprise worked) and restarted. Attempting to restore my session just opened another empty session with my Gmail app tab gone, so I tried to open Gmail manually.


Actual results:

One of the links in the location bar was a "Switch to tab" one. (See picture.) Clicking it closed the window. Opening a new window didn't fix it. There were other URLs listed as "Switch to tab" as well; they seemed to mostly correspond to sites I had open when I crashed. It's almost as if it successfully restored my session but in a phantom window.

OK, I discovered something: After closing the window, I opened the Task Manager again and switched to the Processes tab this time; there was a copy of firefox.exe running with 700MB of RAM. When I forced it to shut down and tried opening Firefox again from the taskbar, I got an invisible window. Literally — hovering over the Firefox icon popped up a standard preview with the toolbars plainly visible in it, and an invisible window in Aero Peek. I had to force-quit the process again, and this time restarting got me a "Well, this is embarrassing" with all my tabs from before the crash listed as well as a couple others that had been closed hours earlier — accounting for the extra "Switch to tab" entries. Everything is in order now, but this is a wacky bug. Is there a way I can attach some sort of crash log? The devs might want to see this, just for their own amusement.
