Goal: increase conversion from /m for Android with simplified landing page experience on mobile phones (not tablets) Chrissie to create wireframe to reduce amount of information on /m landing page experience for Android users. Steven/silverorange to code.
Created attachment 564450 [details] Wireframe for billboard Wireframe for billboard approach for Steven
Steven, Assigning to you. The only design element is adding in the Android logo, replacing the current phone icon (read Laura's post on why we're doing this: http://forrestthroughthetrees.blogspot.com/2011/10/droid-vs-foxdroid-death-match.html) http://www.android.com/branding.html Otherwise, this is stripping down the existing landing page for /m This will be used for an A/B test with a small group of users to learn if it's more effective to trim down the amount of content we show. Metrics: Downloads, bounce rate, user experience, brand impression Thanks! Feel free to move to 4.2 if 4.1 is too aggressive, will be implementing with sitespect.
This variation of the /m page is setup in trunk at http://www-dev.allizom.org/en-US/m/index-b Do note that the android graphic looks large when viewing in a desktop browser, but it should look fine on an actual phone. If we're using SiteSpect, I'm not sure if it needs to be pushed into production or not.
