I have messages in folder where the messages are bold (unread) but they do not appear in a global search for unread messages.  Also, the 'searching' text at the bottom of the mail window never goes away.

So global search is not working is that what you are saying ?

This is working better in version 7.  However, messages are not always found as unread and the folders are not bold for some messages handled by filters, even though the search query contains that folder.  This is also true for the built-in Unread Folders tab.  When I click on the folders in All Folders tab the unread messages become bold and then appear in the Unread Messages tab, but not until I manually click on that folder.  There doesn't seem to be a scheme for which folders have this behavior.  All my filters are essentially the same: type 48, from email address, move to folder, sometime checking the subject text.

Also, with some queries the animated search icon never stops indicating that it is still searching.  This happens even though the messages are displayed.

By the way, can you add a progress bar for compacting folders - cannot always tell if it's done, and a sub-folders option to the repair folder button in the folder properties dialog box.

Version 7 is a great improvement - liking it better every day!

does this happen in v13?

we only handle one issue per bug.  that said, a bug report exists for both items

Bug 157991 is for Seamonkey - do we have a TB equivalent for that?

Wayland, thanks for calling. I believe we have bugs for most of your issues, and this bug is not actionable (no STR, no actual results, no expected results, multiple issues in one bug). Furthermore, no reply.

closest might be Bug 469050 - Compacting operation should be shown on Activity Manager window
