The current promos on the Mozilla in Africa and the Middle East page aren't really specific to community members living in this area, so we should update them with more relevant information. Updating the promos now will also give Alex a chance to get familiar with the process of editing the site so he can get commit access to keep these promos current. I'll update this bug with next steps.
The first step is to edit the page on the staging site to make sure the change works and doesn't break anything. The page on stage is at http://www-stage.mozilla.org/contribute/local/africamideast.html You can browse the source for the page online at http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/mozilla.org/branches/staging/contribute/local/africamideast.html?view=log Or you can check out the files from Subversion and view the file locally. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mozilla.org/How_to_Work_with_Site#Using_Subversion Note that the code in the repository is different from the code that is served that you can see by viewing the source of the page because our templating system adds the header, footer and side nav. The next step is to make a patch and attach it to this bug for review. https://developer.mozilla.org/En/Creating_a_patch I can then review it and check it into stage. After testing it there I can check this in to the production site. After we've gone through this process, you'll have a patch history with the site we can use for granting commit access.
