Nightly and Aurora buildids for Fennec are not currently available anywhere we can reach them for Socorro.  The FTP server does not include them that we can find.

This prevents us from moving all nightly/aurora releases over to newTCBS, or proceeding with improved reporting for nightlies and aurora for any product.

We need to have some way where we can automatically obtain nightly and aurora buildids for Fennec as they are released.

Laura, can you send this to the appropriate party in RelEng?   Thanks!

I just took a look and I'd guess that they are:

I'd imagine that the nightly bit of the FTP scraper isn't looking in the right places though.

We can reach them, but I think we never updated the FTP scraper correctly. We also didn't update he FTP scraper to do Aurora for Firefox as well.

Josh, have you synched with Lonnen on what we need to do for Nightly and Aurora? I did talk to him in the last days and he now has a good understanding of what we need, I'd like to ensure you two are on the same page there.

AFAIK, there's nothing we need to do in the UI/MW to make nightly/aurora show up in the existing reports/screens.  They'll just all be lumped together as "a1" and "a2".

Now, once you give us a spec for the *new* reports/screens you want for them, we'll have to develop something.

The specs are in the docs we already used for 2.2 (but annotated with "to be done later" or so), and Laura as well as Lonnen know what we need there. The basics are simple: We want crash date in the UI be replaced with Build ID date. The implementation is surely more complex.

Yeah, we're not ready for that yet; 2.4 at best.

It'll require having a separate set of screens to have stats for the daily builds for nightlies and auroras.  The code for those may be based on existing screens, but we'll need to clone and tweak them.  And add new matviews, of course, but the matviews are the easy part.

This was resovled 6 months ago; closing the bug now.
