The videos have "Share" and "Embed" buttons next to them - is there any plan for the behaviour of these buttons - this isn't something we've used on the site before, that I know of.

Hi Steven - I would love to use the "share" and embed buttons (sorry was not CCed) on this bug before. Who do I need to connect with to ensure that we get the answers to your questions in a timely manner?

Re: video - I've filed a bug with IT to get them hosted here: Bug 689317  

We want to use Universal Subtitles for the video. Just talked to Morgamic and he said it is definitely possible but to ping you about the scope of using UniSubs on the video. I am happy to upload it to the site to start implementation but just curious what you need on the backend.

Hi Steven - Quick update here. We will *not* be launching this week. We are working to significantly reduce the amount of text and perhaps change the pages up a bit. Will keep you posted with new mockups as soon as we have them. We are still aiming to have everything ready to go for early next week but this should let you breathe a little.

Shannon, I would suggest we remove the Share and Embed buttons for the sake of simplifying l10n and making a timeline launch more feasible.

If you'd like to work on Share/Embed buttons after the site has been launched, we could do that. I would recommend filing a separate bug for them though. There would be a fair bit to work out (UI, javascript, what code to share for embedding, etc. and tying into Facebook, Twitter, email, etc. for sharing).

Hi Steven - Do you know how much time/resource constrain this will be? I ask because I want to weigh the benefits and priorities. 

This was something that Chris said he would like to see on the site, and something that our EU team was hoping to have to press could easily embed any of the videos in their stories. 

If we cannot do it directly through the site, is there a place where we can point folks so they can embed the videos in their stories or easily share them through social media channels? I think we absolutely want to have these (even if its a bit further down the line) but I would like to have a clear idea on how, if we include these it impacts release timing and L10N. This might become a P2 for the site.
