Details
I was hitting the backspace key a few times in succession to delete part of a sentence, when it suddenly selected all the text in the textarea and deleted it. Certainly not the intended action. No idea if this could be something built-in to the software keyboard. Using Samsung Galaxy Tab 1.01, running latest software update, and latest nightly.

As with #689095, I can't reproduce this. I took the following steps: Went to google. In search box typed some charachters, inserted cursor somewhere in the middle, typed more characters. NOTE: characters were inserted correctly. Hit backspace. NOTE: only single char directly left of cursor was deleted with a single stroke. Repeated on other sites, including mail.ee (webmail portal), gmail. Same result.

Updated to latest nightly, and I can still reproduce it :\ Note that to reproduce, I have to hit the backspace key at least a dozen times in quick succession. And it doesn't always occur - it seemed more common yesterday, but today it's more like once every 10-15 times. On one of those keystrokes, it looks like the text is being selected - presumably the next keystroke is what deletes the selected text. Testing more, it isn't always all the text that's deleted - sometimes it's all, sometimes it's just most of it (leaving a small block of 3-4 words at the start of the textarea alone).
