The Mozilla wifi network is down in the Toronto office. We can connect to the network, but we're not getting any web over here.
I've already made contact with ashish, who is on call for IT help.

Can we get a rundown of what happened, partly because we are curious types, and partly so that we know how to avoid it in future?

A ldap permissions cleanup resulted in some auth bits required by wireless auth to be incorrectly disabled. Wifi auth failed and people couldn't connect using their credentials (which is also why the guest network still worked).
