Steps to reproduce:
did an automatic update on Thunderbird to version 6. It said it had to restart thunderbird. When thunderbird came up it says, software update failed. The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of thunderbird running on your computer, and then restart thunderbird to try again.
I exited thunderbird, when to task manager and made sure no mozilla, thunderbird process were running. rebooted the machine, checked again that no process started automatically. Then kicked off thunderbird only, and keep getting the same message.
Actual results:
see above
Expected results:
it should start without the error message. Thunderbird does open after I say ok and runs and the about says that i'm using version 6.
when I click on about it says version 6 but there is an apply update button and if I hit that, I get the error message again.
