User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; WOW64; rv:6.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0 Build ID: 20110811165603 Steps to reproduce: I installed the latest update that showed up today - 2011-09-27. "About" shows it simply as Firefox 7. My system is running Windows 7 Professional SP-1 (64-bit). Actual results: Since "upgrading" to this version, Firefox opens with an error window indicating "Firefox has stopped working". I have a choice to look online for a solution. This has no effect. The other choice is to close the window. This also has no effect, except the error window goes away. After that FF seems to work OK. When I try to open FF from the shortcut bar the window just flashes open and then reverts to a minimized state. I can't keep it open. I replaced this version with Firefox 6 and this problem no longer occurs. Expected results: Firefox should just open and begin working and STAY working!

René, did you have good results with http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode ? if not, did you try reinstalling?

René writes "The first time, I believe I had installed Firefox 7.0 and had the problem. A few days later, I re-downloaded Firefox and got version 7.0.1. This time it worked for me."
