We're running our own bugzilla instance and a wiki, and for some features (e.g. BzAPI), we need more control over our hosting service than the current provider (dreamhost) can offer. Moreover, DH is based in the US, so we'd like to find something closer to Poland. Linode.com offers a compelling VPS plan for $30/month, with a data center in London. Could Mozilla sponsor this for the aviary.pl team?
Please use the remo support forms for that. Resolving this as incomplete because I don't know a) where to morph this bug to b) there's probably a form that guides you through what you need. PS: You may need to be a rep to use those, but there should be one among aviary.pl, right?

I'm gonna troll you: https://wiki.mozilla.org/MCS:Hosting says I should contact gandalf, and gandalf told me to file this bug here :> Joasis, are you a mozilla rep? Can you clone this bug into Mozilla Reps > Budget Requests? Here's a link for your convenience :) https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Mozilla Reps&cloned_bug_id=690294
matt, how do we do these kind of hosting things now? Is there a standard way that we handle for community servers? If not I'll try and figure out a process.
it doesn't seem like REMO is the right system for this kind of request. REMO is more a system for one time event funding, where as this is a sustained annual expense.
FWIW, here's a thread on mozilla.reps.general by mrz that made me file this bug: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.reps.general/Da4P6h55G4c
@Stas: Joasis is a mozilla rep :) (In reply to chris hofmann from comment #4) > it doesn't seem like REMO is the right system for this kind of request. > REMO is more a system for one time event funding, where as this is a > sustained annual expense. It also seems that there is some misunderstanding as to whether or not this should go through the REPS program. I can hold filing any REPS-related bugs until there is clear understanding on where it belongs to. Let me know.
Until we have a formal process in place defined by our IT team, I strongly recommend going through Mozilla Reps and filing a budget request. At least we'll have full visibility and be able to monitor the payment.
Interestingly I tried to clone that bug following Stas' link (yes, I did remove the space between Mozilla and Reps) and I couldn't: the components list is empty, the submit bug button is inactive and when I switch to advanced bug entry form I get "Sorry, either the product MozillaReps does not exist or you aren't authorized to enter a bug into it." Am I in the middle of the maintenance window or just being discouraged? :)
It seems to have worked :)
