+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #524624 +++

I'm not sure we'll *need* to do this this time (last time our rationale was partly we'd landed lots of things in the week before the RC, which is not the case right now), but we might still *want* to, to make sure we get plenty of testing from anyone using 2.1* (not just relying on the forum thread).

This bug is a placeholder for doing that, if we desire; see bug 524624 for what we did for 2.0rc1 (no script rewrites needed this time, yay!), but specifically we'd at least want a different update description for this.

Stuart, this text sound OK to you?  It's what we did for 2.0, s/2.0/2.1/g.

Yes (http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-1.9.2/rev/699efd2ec204), plus the 2 Gecko fixes post-.23 that had landed at that point (alas, they've just now started landing more fixes :P )

Attachment: versions.js changes

Here, for reference, are the changes to versions.js to make our messages on cbo do (almost) the right thing.

They'll warn you if you're still using an old milestone, but they'll send you to preview.cbo to update, and I haven't made any changes to preview.cbo to accomodate (and really don't feel like doing so tonight, because there are too many things to change).

Still, these changes are deployed.
