That's exacting my problem... I see the very same. I bet http://www.pentax.de/site/images/IS/contentcol1-bg.gif it's a 2 colors paletted Gif
I wonder why anybody uses such images for a solid color area. Can't they use CSS background-color? I would understand it for some patterned backgrounds... bz, can we consider this bug confirmed too? It may even be a duplicate. But this user reports Mac OS 10.6 and FF8. Any idea?

Confirmed by the author of bug 689962 of which this may be a duplicate. Pipe, could you read the description here and all the settings the reporter posted. Can you see something your system has in common with his one? Like graphics card?

Good, that one seems to not contain the supposedly problematic background image http://www.pentax.de/site/images/IS/contentcol1-bg.gif .

Can you confirm if this is still an issue on latest nightly? I can't reproduce this locally on OS X 10.7
