if you go to http://www.saab.com, and choose USA, Mozilla ends up displaying a
blank page. Both Netscape and IE display the page correctly.

I think it is a Java-related problem though I'm not 100% sure.

From Java debug screen I get the following:

Error: ref.layers have no properties

Source file: http://www.saabusa.com/js/dhtml/dHtml.core.Funcs.js
Line: 193 Columnn: 0

This never worked in all prior versions of mozilla as well.

This is Mozilla version 0.8, Win98.

The site tried to fix their JS for Mozilla/NS6, but did not do a very good job:
