User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:6.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0.2 Build ID: 20110902133214 Steps to reproduce: I reverted back to ffox 6.02 after the 7.x release that was automatically applied. Then I disabled automatic updating. Actual results: Upon opening the new 7 version of firefox, blank tabs from the + button were taking up to 20 seconds to load. Loading known good pages (google, facebook, etc) were taking 10-15 seconds to begin loading. It was as if every click or even scroll within the ffox browser was causing the browser to lock up for a period of time before action began. Expected results: Normal operation. Click on the + for a new tab and it's instant. Load pages normally. Something was causing firefox to seize up completely.
Might be related to bug 686025. While it's being fixed try the workaround steps at http://blog.bonardo.net/2011/09/30/is-your-firefor-freezing-at-regular-intervals

In my case, it was constant. I had to kill firefox with task manager and even a reboot didn't help. I agree that it may be related to that bug. Once a fix is made I can test it again.
Depends on: 686025
Kev - Can you try the steps in the blog post above and see if they solve your problem? I'm going to mark this as a duplicate of the other bug, because it sounds exactly the same. But if you could confirm that would help us quite a bit. Thank you!

I upgraded back up to the latest from getfirefox.com and ran the instructed add-ons instructions from above, but there doesn't appear to be any significant change. It still hangs pretty hard. I'm an unemployed Systems Engineer so if I can help in some way please let me know. :-D
