Steps to reproduce:

When writing a new email, and clicking on the Attach button, a tiny window [Attach file(s)] appears that in all previous versions of Thunderbird was expandable by left clicking and dragging the lower right corner down and to the right.  Now, in 7.0.1, that window is stuck in a very small space, making it much harder to find that file you want to attach at a glance.


Actual results:

This must have been an oversight -- I can't imagine that you would have wanted to eliminate this function in the latest version.


Expected results:

Please give us back the ability to resize that window -- better yet, have Thunderbird remember how big we make that window so we don't have to always resize it.

This works for me on Windows 7 32-bit.
Do you have a theme installed?
Have you tried in Safe-mode?

this dismayingly small, non-resizable file dialog problem happens to me in every condition i can think of with tb701. 
- on a new, clean profile
- in safe mode on my standard profile
- in normal mode on my standard profile

i don't have any other versions to test with, but i think i was able to resize the dialog in tb3.x.

Hmz... don't know what I did earlier, but probably tried it with version 9.0a2, in which it does work. This indeed doesn't work in Thunderbird 7.0.1 under Windows 7 32-bit.
(It does also work under Windows XP...)

I've used Thunderbird for years on XP Pro 32-bit (now fully updated to service pack 3, with all the updates), and 7.0.1 is the first version that doesn't allow resizing of this tiny window.  I can't resize it in Win 7 Pro 64-bit either.
