When a page is loading, the beach ball cursor shows. It makes it very difficult
to click a button/checkbox because the hotpoint isn't visible.
ie4.5 has a strange loading cursor which also has no visible hot spot. i don't
think we're likely to fix this, i don't think it's a bug.

in ie 5.5b1 for mac, the beach ball disappears as soon as any portion of the
screen loads.

Hmmm, well its supposed to prevent normal operation :)
I have mixed feelings about this - if the user can still meaningfully interact
with the UI (and s/he can, because this cursor still works when clicked) we
shouln't be showing a wait cursor at all.
Unfortunately there's not really a Mac equivalent of the Windows Arrow +
Hourglass cursor. The beachball is the closest thing, I think, but its not a good
fit...
