User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1 Build ID: 20110928134238 Steps to reproduce: Used the Close command by clicking File->Close with one tab open. Actual results: The page for that tab displayed a blank page. Expected results: The window should have closed.
Component: General → Tabbed Browser
Summary: File->Close command blanks page instead of closing window when one tab is open (Mac OS X). → File->Close command blanks page instead of closing window when one tab is open.
WFM on Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1 and also on Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0b3 The close command closes the browser when one tab is present.
Specifically the tab close command associated with Command + W (The windows version does not seem to have this bug) In order to maintain consistency with both Firefox on other platforms and other Mac OS X applications, this bug needs to be addressed.
Could you see if the issue occurs if using Firefox in safe mode: http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode and also you should try to reproduce this with a new, empty testing profile? (Don't install any addons into it) http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile Thanks.
