Steps to reproduce:
Used the Close command by clicking File->Close with one tab open.
Actual results:
The page for that tab displayed a blank page.
Expected results:
The window should have closed.

The close command closes the browser when one tab is present.

Specifically the tab close command associated with Command + W (The windows version does not seem to have this bug)
In order to maintain consistency with both Firefox on other platforms and other Mac OS X applications, this bug needs to be addressed.
Could you see if the issue occurs if using Firefox in safe mode:

and also you should try to reproduce this with a new, empty testing profile? (Don't install any addons into it)
