Details
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; 0.8) Gecko/20010215
BuildID: 2001021508
I have noticed this at several sites (even logging in to Bugzilla). If I enter
my username and password, then tab to the login button and press the space bar
to select the button, the dialog that asks if I want the Password Manager to
store the information flashes briefly and then closes immediately. From what I
can tell, "yes" is being selected/defaulted (I verified via Preferences that it
is stored). On subsequent logins, I do not see the window flash up.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to web site with login form (bugzilla, for example), making sure you have
never logged in
2. enter login information (user ID/password)
3. tab until login/submit button is highlighted
4. select space
5. look quickly :)
Actual Results: Password Manager window flashes briefly and disappears
Expected Results: password manager window should popup, allowing me to select
whether or not I want password information stored
workaround is to use the mouse to select the button

Is this a recent regression? It is working fine for me (hitting the space key
brings up the dialog and it doesn't disappear. But my build is a week old
(2-12-2001). tpreston, can you reproduce this with a current build?

Closing out as works-for-me per my own observations and those of tpreston.
Reporter, if you are still having the problem, can you supply us with more
information as to what it is that might be unique to your situation.

Interesting. Here are some things I am doing that may affect this. If you can't
reproduce it, feel free to close it out. I'll see if I can keep removing things
until I find the culprit. If you have any suggestions for installation, I can
try those too.
* Using Win 98 (not SE)
* I download nightly trunk talkback builds (not the installer)
* When I install, I usually reuse a profile. Recently, I have had to delete the
profile and recreate it from scratch. I then manually move my email folders
(only) back into the new profile's email server subdirectory.
* I keep the GrayModern theme loaded (although I was able to reproduce with
Modern and Classic)
* I have a CueCat scanner inline on my keyboard connection. I took it off and
plugged the keyboard back in, restarted mozilla and still observed the error. I
made sure to kill the CueCat software.
* I tried using the 'enter' and 'space' keys - both have the same effect. I
have tried hitting them quickly and pressing/holding them - same effect. I
tried with the mouse and it comes up like its supposed to.
* I went to the keyboard control panel, set my repeat rate as slow as possible
and still had the problem.
* I have a Linux-cool keyboard using the "standard 101/102 key keyboard" driver
from Microsoft. Driver date is 5-11-98.
I'll keep at it. As I said, if you can't reproduce, feel free to close it.
I'll reopen it if I can find a repeatable scenario.
