Thanks Jason.  Can you please provide more context / direction in this bug?  To start, I'll need:

* Timing / set against other priorities.
* Design direction - what you're looking for in this redesign/refresh. 
* Do we keep the Dino head? or go more Firefoxy?

Sure thing, Tara:

* Brand feel / design direction: More fun and Firefoxy, and versatile enough to be featured across different channels and resources (printed materials, templates, social media avatars, etc).

I'm interested to have a conversation about enlisting Curly as the official mascot for all-things-students produced by MoCo if that's an option. (I thought Curly was the Student Reps mascot until I saw him appear in announcements for other areas of the Project.)

* Timing: First look by week of 10/24.

- Are we ok keeping the Dino head in the logo, or is there reason to remove it?
- I'm not sure integrating the Curly illo in the logo would be good idea:

Jason is this still branded as Mozilla Student Reps? Might be worth considering a rebrand to Firefox Reps in the process. The Fx logo carries more weight than the dino, fwiw.

My comments about Curly continued:
- if we move away from using DDL illos, Using Curly for the logo could date it.
- less scalability for use at small scale
- too may colors in logo may become problematic/more expensive to print

The Student Reps program is merging with the Mozilla Reps program, which may inspire some similar branding between the two. I will double-back here in a few weeks from now -- after I've plotted out the creative plans and priorities with William and Pierros.

Hey again,

With William and Pierros visiting SF last week, we were able to create a plan for the Student Reps-ReMo merger (http://mzl.la/tHv4El) and identify some key tasks re. branding and asset sharing.

We'll move forward with a soft launch of the Student Reps program starting next week, which will require updating key volunteer tools (slide decks, project descriptions). 

Pierros and I will meet this afternoon to pick-up the conversation we started last Friday and work on mocking-up a logo and word mark complimentary to the current ReMo visuals. It would be good to have the new logo finalized by next week, but in absolutely no means necessary. 

Updating the bug to get the project's progress and planning on your radar. More to come soon.

Per Mary's comment from 12/13 on bug 709207, this project is on hold pending further discussion:

"Creative team:  We'll hold on this + the Student Reps logo redesign for now. David will share out an outline of the holistic "Grow Mozilla" program - we'd like to create a brand hierarchy for the whole program that shows continuity and builds upon each other :)"
