Build ID: 20110928134238

Steps to reproduce:

I surf the net and visit some on the common news sites and check my mails.

Actual results:

the Firefox hangs every now and then and I have to wait for some seconds before it starts to work fine. This am experiencing this problem v frequently and sometimes becomes really difficult to work with Firefox.
Might be related to bug 686025 which is fixed in Nightly builds if you want to test them from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/firefox-10.0a1.en-US.win32.installer.exe

If not, try the workaround steps at http://blog.bonardo.net/2011/09/30/is-your-firefor-freezing-at-regular-intervals

The workaround is not working. I am still facing the same issue. I am wondering whether it has something to do with the bookmarked links.
Can you tell how long those hangs are and how frequently they appear? Like each ten minutes it hangs for 1 minute. Is there any period in it?

Let us know if it still happens in Firefox's own safe mode (hold down the Shift key when you're starting Firefox, be sure you see the safe mode dialog appear) and after you've gone into Add-ons (Ctrl Shift A), clicked on "Plugins" and disabled everything listed there.

Also, what security/anti-virus/malware detection software you are running?
