Steps to reproduce:

Start Firefox in both regular and Safe Modes.  Error is 100% reproducible.


Actual results:

Received a Sync error.  If it's relevant, I'm connecting to the Internet through a password-protected proxy.  I've had the sync account working fine for some time, and it was working fine on a different machine as of last night.

(On a related note, this is revealing a terrible UI.  I've got a persistent error bar across the bottom of my browsing window that reappears if I close it.  It gives me no relevant information, and the button "Preferences" leads me to the preferences page where I can do nothing to investigate or fix the error.  Even worse, the error message says "Please try again" but there's nothing a user can do to "try again"!  

Also, why is there no Sync component in Bugzilla?)
