feature are lost in time


Expected results:

bookmarked page change notification by schedule
ideally that may be improved with possibility to view changed code parts on page ...

Hi,

I really like this feature that was present in Seamonkey 1.x.x. When you chose a bookmark property there used to be an option to change the the favicon for the bookmark whenever there is an update to the bookmark web page. I could also configure the frequency and time the check should be made. I used to use this a lot to check if a web page has changed. It is very useful to track the careers page for companies that post any new jobs or to track a price for any product that you are following. This was a very unique feature that none of the browsers out there has. Can you please bring this feature back? Especially when Christmas is around the corner. I want to keep tabs on the sale price of the items that I want to watch :-). Thanks in advance.

I use(d) this feature a lot myself! One of the 'killer features' that made me stick with SeaMonkey. If this feature gets reimplemented again please also consider adding update notifications to the mail & newsgroups somewhere as well.

Checks your bookmarks are valid and the pages still exist, checks for duplicates and for empty folders and can restore missing favicons. Also checks and compacts (vacuums) your Places database.

Philip Chee : different tool ... as it's helps for cleanup, but was feature, that allowed to be notified when monitored site have been changed without any kepresses,and without needs to visit monitored sites.
