User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:6.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0.2 Build ID: 20110902133214 Steps to reproduce: Just start Thunderbird/Lightning Actual results: Some strings in PtBR localization have weird translations, at best. Examples: -In task alarms, what I think is "Dismiss" has been translated as "Desistir", which translates back to "Give up". The right translation would be "Descartar", or "Dispensar". -In mini calendar panel (over tasks panel), what I think is "Close events", has been translated as "Proximamente", which is funny, if not plain wrong. A good translation would be "Próximos", or something like that. -In "create a new task" dialog, the button "save and close" (and related menu itens) is translated as "Guardar e fechar". I think the right is "Salvar e fechar". -Some strings are translated european portuguese. Expected results: The strings should be right! :)
Are these strings from Lightning or Thunderbird?

Sorry for not replying earlier. I am not sure if the strings are from Lightning or Thunderbird. What I can say is that the strings appear when interacting with Lightning panels.
Looking at code repository [https://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n/mozilla-aurora/pt-BR] I found that the messages you pointed are already right translated. So, this bug is solved!
All of the mentioned strings are from the pt-PT localization, the pt-BR versions are correct, as pointed by Marcos.
