Steps to reproduce:
Installed Thunderbird 7 and opened the application. Was prompted to create a new account. Entered name, email address, and password. Clicked next and was forwarded to a second screen that had the info from the first, and got an error message saying Thunderbird failed to "failed to find the settings". Tried setting the Incoming & Outgoing settings manually.
Note: I installed Thunderbird 3.1.15 and set up an account, then re-installed Thunderbird 7, and it remembered my account. Still very annoying though.
Actual results:
The "create account" button never un-greyed out
Expected results:
The "create account" button should have been available/clickable

Were you online when you tried to configure Thunderbird ?
Do you still have the issue ? (if so can you look into Tool-> Error console and copy the errors that you'll find there)
