(Reporter: warren.levin, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1
Build ID: 20110929022028

Steps to reproduce:

I have got an Ubuntu 11.10 64 bits up to date.

1 - Open firefox
2 - Have many tabs and tab groups
3 - Download a big file (such as a Linux distribution for example)
4 - Close the main windows with all the tabs (only the Downloads Windows should be there)
5 - Open a Terminal
6 - Login as root: sudo -s
7 - Type: shutdown -h 5
8 - The computer shutdown
9 - Turn in on again
10 - Launch firefox to see that you don't have your tabs or your tabs groups ... anymore

Actual results:

Lost of tabs and tabs groups

Expected results:

Restore session correctly with tabs and tabs groups

Can you reproduce this issue by simply killing the firefox process instead of shutting down?
QA Contact: general → session.restore
Can you still reproduce this with the latest Firefox build, Warren?
I'm wondering if this bug has the same root cause as bug 735694.
