Build id : Mozilla/5.0 (Android;Linux armv7l;rv:8.0)Gecko/20111006
Firefox/8.0 Fennec/8.0
Devices: Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Desire
OS: Android 2.2
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Fennec App
2. Install Personas add-on and restart the app
3. After the app restarts, tap on the Personas button from about:home page
4. Tap on any Personas theme
5. Add the selected theme at step 4 to Fennec
6. Go to Menu > Add-ons and check if the Personas theme is saved
Expected result:
After step 5, the Personas theme is added and applied. Also it will be listed to Add-ons/"Your Add-ons".

After step 6, there wouldn't be any theme listed, no matter how many will be saved at step 5.

Persona's works for me with 8.0b1 just fine. I went to recently added and the first few installed with no issue and are listed. Is there an error in console? Did you try other Personas?

I've added several themes (about 5-6) but no one was saved to Fennec. Also I've installed the Personas add-on both from AMO and from Fennec, but I have the same actual result. I was able to reproduce this issue on both devices mentioned in comment #0.

You have to tap 'Keep it' for the Persona to be added to Firefox.

Please see this video: http://www.youtube.com/user/qaioana#p/a/u/0/Ps_zMTXf1wE
But even if the theme is not kept, shouldn't it be applied temporary while is selected?

This issue is not reproducible on Android 2.3.
Also there is an error in Console for every saved theme:
Error: gNavigatorBundle is not defined
Source file: chrome://personas/content/bootstrap.js Line: 81

Please indicate if this is also affected on trunk (Firefox 10)

Also to verify,
You can set the general.skins.selectedSkin string pref to:
honeycomb/1.0
classic/1.0
gingerbread/1.0
to determine if this is a theme issue that is prohibiting personas from applying properly

I can't reproduce this using Firefox mobile 8 beta 2 on my G2 running Android 2.2.

Device: HTC Desire
OS: Android 2.2
Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv7l; rv:10.0a1) Gecko/20111018 Firefox/10.0a1 Fennec/10.0a1
This is reproducible when the general.skins.selectedSkin pref is not set.
With general.skins.selectedSkin set to classic/1.0, the themes are applied automatically after install, but are not listed in Add-ons/"Your Add-ons"
The added themes will be listed in "Your Add-ons" only after closing and reopening fennec.
