User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1 Build ID: 20110928134238 Steps to reproduce: MacOSx 10.6.8 - OSx in french I change Preference langage setup in English and I launch Firefox without relauching OSx. Actual results: Firefox stay in french! Expected results: Other browsers start in english in this case, but Firefox continues to start in french. Other browsers are: camino, chrome, Flock, Safari, opera, iCab, SeaMonkey That is not an main bug.
You can't change the language of the userinterface in the preferences. There is only an option to change the http language accept header which will some webpages use to change the used language. I know for sure that also Seamonkey only comes with one language and you have to download a different version in a different language.
To Matthias Versen Ok, it's not a bug! is it possible to add an option "automatique" in Firefox "préférences/contenu/langue". In this case, at each launch, firefox ask what is actual language setup in preference-system then conforme its own menus language to this set-up. On mac, menus language of launched application must be conforme to preference-system-international-language setup of mac, and by défault of this language, English is (generaly) choosed. Sorry for my bad english!
You choose the language on the download page for Firefox. Or, you can download an english version of Firefox and then install 'language packs' for the languages you wish as addons (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/). Then you can toggle the language via tools->addons.
