693304 - Army of Awesome breaks if either of the stats are missing

As far as I can tell, AoA will break if one of the stats blobs is available but not both. In particular, right now the "result_set" from the Top Soldiers blob is empty, and it's breaking AoA.

As part of this, let the cron fail loudly instead of quietly syslogging.

On the staging and dev servers, we should be seeing part of the sidebar, with some of the data missing, instead of a server error.
