I'm running the nightlies on my T-Mobile Galaxy S Vibrant phone. Generally it runs pretty well, but today I hit a couple of web pages that cause the open tab to crash, presenting me with a message that says:

"Sorry! Something went wrong while displaying a web page. [Close tab] [Reload tab]"

The URLs in question that cause the error are:

- http://arstechnica.com/science/news/2011/10/the-giant-prehistoric-squid-that-ate-common-sense.ars

On each page I can reliably generate the crash merely by double clicking to zoom then scrolling around a bit, just like you'd do in the course of regular browsing / reading, which is in fact what I was doing when I discovered the crashes in the first place.

It's worth noting that even before the crash, the pages seem a bit sluggish. Scrolling isn't very responsive, and I'll frequently see the checkerboard background as the browser struggles to keep up w/ the rendering that needs to be done.
Can you paste some of the crash report ids from about:crashes?
I don't have any, about:crashes tells me "No crash reports have been submitted."

The entire browser doesn't crash, it's only the tab that I'm looking at that dies. Would that make a difference?
No, there are supposed to be crashes regardless. Sounds like another example of bug 689778.
Works for me on droid pro : using nightly 20111014, as well as aurora. Possible OOM?
