I removed this assertion in bug 635980 and it's back. I hit this constantly in my debug builds, and everything appears to work. If this is really something serious, please ping me and I can help debug.

NV3DVControl assertions as warnings instead, rev. 1
If this is failing often, it doesn't seem like this should even be a warning. i.e. I'd take the patch that removes the check all together.
