User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1 Build ID: 20110928134238 Steps to reproduce: Visit http://whatsmylatlng.com. Pressed "Where am I?" Actual results: My location wasn't found and the error message "Oops! An error occurred while trying to determine your position." was displayed. Expected results: My position should have been shown based on my ISP address. I am using a XP laptop running Firefox v7.0.1
I should have added that I selected "Always Share" when the popup box appeared saying the site wanted me to share my location.
wfm with Firefox7.0.1
WFM here too using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:10.0a1) Gecko/20111013 Firefox/10.0a1 ID:20111013030957 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1 ID:20110928134238 Is your Issue reproducible in Safe-Mode? https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
I'm guessing WFM is "works for me". Strangely it now works for me. But it places my IP address 70 miles south of my physical address. Is that normal?
Firefox is using a google service to find the location based on the IP. It seems that they have no good position.

Thanks Matti. This isn't a bug in Firefox. Google needs to correct the problem. Happy for you to close this.
