Details
Reproduce: 1. Open New Browser Window 2. Load any webpage through bookmarks 3. Try any of - Page Up/Down - Cursor Up/Down (for scrolling up/down) Actual result: Only (sometimes weird) caret movements in the urlbar Expected result: Page in the canvas (viewport) scolls/moves. Additional Comments: If you load a page in step 2 by typing the URL in the URLbar and hitting return, everything is fine, i.e. the expected result happens. I guess, the canvas is focused after loading a URL "by hand". 4.x (at least in the Unix flavor) works "as expected", but note that it doesn't focus the canvas - the urlbar has still the focus and typing and cursor left/right apply to the urlbar. I know that this is somewhat odd technically, but it makes some sense to the user, I think - up/down makes no sense in a single-line text edit field, so the key event is applied to something more senseful. In any case, this behaviour of 4.x makes a lot of sense at least for text <INPUT> fields in web pages - technically, the widget can't do anything meaningful with the event and it "bubbles up" (I think) - the result is what the user most likely intended. Don't know, if that is really related to this bug.

Changing summary from "URLbar grabs navigation" to "using a bookmark should focus content area (from location bar, etc)". Note that this might not apply to javascript: bookmarks. See also bug 53549, "open link in new window should focus content, not location bar", and bug 37638, "URL bar is given focus by default".

I think this is a dup of bug 62765. Blake, do you want to take that bug too?
