694562 - browserID sign in page shows a blank tab on iOS5

installed iOS5 on ipad2 and iphone4.
When trying to sign in on beta.myfavoritebeer.org, the sign in popup should launch a seperate tab allowing user to sign in.  instead, it shows a blank tab (about:blank)

Repro:
1) launch Safari on iOS5 devices (ipad2, iphone4)
2) visit URL
3) click sign in button
4) Verify a blank page opens in a new tab

Expected:
- the sign in page opens in a new tab on safari

ActuaL;
- blank page opens (about:blank)

This also occurs when a proper internet connection is not established to the net.
ie connect to Mozilla Guest network without signing in.
