I'm not sure how this happened but my tabs got in a state of overlapping. Restarting Firefox seemed to resolve the issue. However, I'd like to report it just so we have something on file (just in case others start seeing it). Using the latest Firefox 9.0a2 Aurora on Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit. I have no add-ons installed. I cannot reproduce this issue as of yet -- I'm guessing it was just a one-off glitch. Even if this bug gets resolved WORKSFORME immediately, or as a DUPE, I'd like to just get it on record as happening recently in an Aurora build.

perhaps the screen shot shows an example of this behavior in the vertical tab format. I think I may have also seen as the OP describes in horizontal tab format.
ashughes, are you using any addons?
even worse with 20111231 build. screen shot is after session restore. but I get similar results in entirely new page.
