Steps to reproduce:

my firefox browser is beta version 8 on my windows 7 ultimate.  every time, it tries to download something, it failed.   pls help me figuring out why 


Actual results:

it wont download


Expected results:

my firefox browser is still in beta version 8, it s not offically a firefox version still in beta...

Firefox8 is still beta and there are some updates until the final release.

You are unable to download anything, or just can't download the Firefox updates? Are you using the auto update feature, or downloading from Mozilla.org?

Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode

How about with a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
