Details

It's useful to know when a profile is being run on a new application version so that cleanup or other tasks can be run. Currently, this requires storing the version in a pref and then comparing it with the current version on every startup. This check is something like needHomepageOverride is already doing: https://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/ident?i=needHomepageOverride
